In April, Las Vegas will become the heart of wrestling as WrestleMania 41, the most anticipated WWE event scheduled this year, promises two days filled with thrilling in-ring battles to “Sin City.” However, prior to the grand spectacle known as the “Showcase of the Immortals,” fans worldwide will honor the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame inductees. These individuals, both men and women, not only contributed significantly to WWE’s rise in pop culture but also played pivotal roles in elevating the entire wrestling industry to unprecedented heights.
Currently, only one inductee has been revealed so far – Paul “Triple H” Levesque – but don’t worry, he won’t be flying solo for much longer. Here’s a rundown of why Triple H’s induction is well-deserved, as well as some names I’m eager to see join him at the ceremony this spring.
Only one person has been announced as an inductee right now – it’s Paul “Triple H” Levesque. However, he won’t be going it alone for long. Here are reasons why his induction is late but deserved, along with some other names I’m hoping will join him at the ceremony this spring.
Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque
In January 2025, WWE.com declared Paul “Triple H” Levesque as the inaugural inductee for the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame, an honor that came only hours after a shocking revelation orchestrated by his wife, Stephanie McMahon, Shawn Michaels, and the Undertaker. Long past his due recognition, Triple H’s in-ring achievements make him deserving of this prestigious accolade, boasting more than a dozen world championship titles, a King of the Ring crown, two Royal Rumble victories, and iconic WrestleMania matches that will stand the test of time.
In essence, Triple H’s contributions backstage over the past ten years have truly distinguished him from others in the industry. This individual has transformed NXT into an exceptional wrestling program, cultivating talents such as Charlotte Flair, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens, before moving them to the main roster. The Triple H influence continues to thrive, and his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame underscores this fact!
Other Wrestlers (And Celebrities) I Think Should Be Inducted In 2025
Triple H has been announced as the initial inductee into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame, yet he’s not the only deserving candidate. Over the next weeks and months, more names will be revealed, but here are some other wrestlers (and a celebrity) I believe merit induction alongside “The King of Kings.
Chyna
Chyna, a legendary female wrestler who tragically passed away in April 2016 at the age of 46, left an indelible mark on the world of WWE. Her impressive career achievements secured her a place in the WWE Hall of Fame. Just as Triple H was, Chyna was inducted into the Hall in 2019 as part of D-Generation X. However, it’s high time that “The Ninth Wonder of the World” received individual recognition for her lasting influence on the sport of wrestling and entered the Hall of Fame as a solo inductee to celebrate her enduring impact.
Demolition
As a passionate movie buff, it’s hard not to acknowledge that when discussing unforgettable tag teams worthy of enshrinement in the WWE Hall of Fame, there are few who can rival Demolition. Comprising Ax and Smash (later joined by Crush), this formidable duo left an indelible mark on the wrestling world during the ’80s and ’90s, dominating opponents and amassing numerous Tag Team Championships in their wake. The fact that they’ve yet to secure a place in the Hall of Fame remains baffling to me, though I won’t delve into that mystery here. Suffice it to say, Demolition deserves recognition for their incredible contributions!
Bam Bam Bigelow
Bam Bam Bigelow, one of wrestling’s most iconic heavyweights, stood out with his distinct appearance and an extraordinary collection of aerial and acrobatic moves, which was surprising for someone of his superheavyweight stature. Almost two decades have passed since his demise, yet he remains a transformative figure who made waves in WCW, WWF, and ECW. For years, I’ve dreamt about seeing him inducted into the Hall of Fame, and I eagerly hope that 2023 will be the year for this much-deserved recognition.
Lex Luger
As a devoted cinephile of the squared circle, it’s downright unjust that Lex Luger isn’t enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame. The “Total Package” amassed an impressive collection of titles, triumphed in the Royal Rumble, graced the main event at WrestleMania, and accomplished so much more throughout his career. To think that he never held the WWE Championship is almost unbelievable, but his extensive tenure in the wrestling business alone warrants recognition with a place among the greats.
Cyndi Lauper (Celebrity Wing)
For quite some time now, famous personalities have graced the stage at WrestleMania events. One such individual is Cyndi Lauper, who played a significant role in the inaugural “Showcase of the Immortals” back in 1985. Known for hits like “Time of Your Life” and “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” Lauper was pivotal in the success of both the event and the ’80s’ Rock n Wrestling phenomenon. It’s hard to believe that despite her significant contributions, Lauper has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Here’s hoping this year sees a change to that status!
As a dedicated cinema-goer, I can’t help but feel the anticipation building for the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. The closer we get to WrestleMania weekend, the more details we’ll surely uncover about this prestigious event.
