Her recent interview with Filmfare provided an insightful glimpse into her journey and the invaluable support she received from her co-star, Rajkummar Rao, particularly during the filming of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
In 2023, Triptii Dimri landed her breakout role in the movie “Animal,” starring Ranbir Kapoor. Following the acclaimed success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s direction, Triptii has been affectionately dubbed as India’s ‘national crush.’ Recently, she admitted that she occasionally became jittery and struggled to deliver her best on set. However, her co-star Rajkummar Rao would provide her with suggestions to enhance her acting performance.
In a recent chat with Filmfare, Triptii Dimri discussed her time working alongside Rajkummar Rao on the set of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Triptii remembered feeling “nervous and apprehensive,” which negatively impacted her acting. Triptii revealed that Rajkummar would help build her confidence by providing helpful tips.
The actress explained that occasionally he would provide her with certain equations, suggesting she might find success by approaching them differently. This, she added, was crucial for maintaining a convincing performance and ensuring the overall scene flowed smoothly. She emphasized that having such collaborative co-actors is truly valuable.
Regarding Rajkummar, Triptii mentioned that it was fortunate for her to be directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa alongside him. In addition, the Animal actor expressed that he played a crucial role in her performance.
During the same interview, Triptii Dimri complimented Rajkummar Rao on his excellent comic delivery and attention to detail with his lines. She admitted that she has much to learn from him. In particular, Triptii mentioned an instance from the set of “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala” where Rajkummar was present even though he didn’t have any scenes to shoot on that day.
Triptii further praised him saying that he is a secure actor and is confident in his craft.
Previously, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, actress Triptii Dimri disclosed that her fellow actor Rajkummar Rao can recite a two-page monologue flawlessly in a single take. Furthermore, she mentioned that he accomplishes this feat without making any mistakes in the dialogue.
On October 11, 2024, “Vicky Vidya Ka Unpublished Video” made its debut. In this movie, Triptii Dimri and Rajkummar Rao portrayed a married couple from the ’90s on screen. Notably, Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, Archana Puran Singh, and Tiku Talsania played significant roles as well.
