TroubleSmile's Fiery ASICS Collaboration Is Coming Soon

As a long-time enthusiast of both streetwear and running shoes, this latest collaboration between ASICS and TroubleSmile has me absolutely thrilled! I remember the hype around the original GEL-KAHANA TR back in 2018, and seeing it evolve into this stunning piece of artistry is nothing short of exhilarating.

I’ve been a fan of ASICS for quite some time now, appreciating their dominance in the technical runner space. Their designs from the ’00s and ’10s have been spot on, fitting perfectly into today’s trends, with models like the GEL-KAYANO 14, GT-2160, and the latest GEL-NYC 2055 leading the way globally. However, a fresh movement that has caught my attention is the GEL-KAHANA TR V4. This sneaker made its debut in China this year as an innovative outdoor silhouette, boasting AHAR wear-resistant rubber and GEL shock-absorbing technology. I’m excited to see where this trend goes!

Currently, ASICS has collaborated with Chinese streetwear label TroubleSmile to design an exclusive sneaker. Previews of this sneaker have been shared through a series of videos, one of which is a side-scrolling beat ’em up-style clip that you can find below. This shoe features shiny silver accents and flames at its base, blending yellow and orange hues with subtle hints of red. TroubleSmile’s branding, in black on yellow, appears on a lateral stitched tag, while the shoe showcases ASICS’ signature cord lacing system, which is presented in red.

Currently, neither TroubleSmile nor ASICS has announced a release date for their version of the GEL-KAHANA TR V4 shoes. Keep checking back for updates, including potential images of the sneakers, as we anticipate them to become available in the upcoming weeks. It’s likely that they will be released exclusively in China or Asia through ASICS and selected retailers.
