So, Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, decided to grace us with an X post (because, you know, who needs actual words when you have emojis, amirite?). He’s all excited about this “historic” day for crypto, showing off pics of himself and the Ripple crew at the White House. Apparently, the big guy himself, Donald Trump, signed some bill called the Genius Act. 🙄
Now, I’m no financial wizard, but apparently this Genius Act thingy is supposed to be a big deal for stablecoins. Like, a “shift from the U.S.’s historically cautious crypto stance” kind of deal. And get this, Garlinghouse even throws in a little nugget about how the Trump family has made a cool $2 billion from crypto recently. Coincidence? I think not. 🤨
Ripple CEO: “Look at me, I’m at the White House!”
Garlinghouse was apparently too busy counting his money to actually be at the White House, but he’s “celebrating from afar.” Sure, Brad. Whatever you say. He even retweeted some legal eagle from Ripple who actually *was* there. You know, just in case we didn’t believe him the first time.

XRP: To the Moon! (Again?)
So, naturally, XRP, the crypto Ripple is all about, decided to go on a little joyride. It hit a new all-time high, which is apparently a big deal because, you know, it hasn’t done that since, like, forever.

The chart looks like a rocket ship 🚀, with XRP shooting up almost 16% in one day. Of course, it’s already come back down a bit, because, you know, crypto. But hey, for a few glorious hours, it was all sunshine and rainbows for XRP holders.
