Recently, the well-known cryptocurrency figure EGRAG CRYPTO raised concerns about synchronization problems with Trust Wallet. This came after he experienced a significant delay in a Stellar Lumens (XLM) transaction, with the funds not appearing in his wallet despite being confirmed on the blockchain 10 hours prior.

EGRAG’s tweet ignited conversation about a security vulnerability, called the “Security Threat” bug, in iOS Trust Wallet. A user revealed this previously unknown weakness that targeted iPhone users via iMessage. Consequently, malicious parties could potentially gain unauthorized access to Trust Wallet accounts.
Around a week ago, Trust Wallet alerted iOS users of a potential security risk, named High-Risk Exploit, which could put them at risk. They recommended disabling iMessage as a precautionary measure until Apple comes up with a fix. However, it’s important to note that this issue isn’t exclusive to Trust Wallet; it highlights broader vulnerabilities within the cryptocurrency industry’s networking infrastructure.
iOS users be warned: There’s important information about a dangerous zero-day exploit threatening iMessage. This vulnerability can infiltrate your iPhone without requiring any links to be clicked, making high-profile individuals potential targets. Using this exploit increases the risk of detection. #CyberSecurity
