For the past ten years, adidas has significantly impacted the sneaker world by launching the UltraBOOST. Known for its Primeknit upper and BOOST midsole that provided exceptional comfort, it signified a pivotal moment for the brand as more shoes featuring BOOST technology followed suit, such as the NMD’s debut in late 2015. The sneaker’s success has spawned numerous iterations, with the UltraBOOST 5 being the latest addition released last year.
Moving forward, adidas has consistently broadened the legacy of UltraBOOST, choosing to revisit their classic designs. The initial UltraBOOST 1.0 style remains a key component in adidas’ lifestyle range and will make a comeback next week, marking its 10th anniversary with a return in its original color scheme. The upper features Primeknit material, textured in black, with a purple cage encircling the heel for added support. This reinforcement showcases black “ultra” text and a gleaming gold “boost” insignia on the side. The signature full-length BOOST midsole can still be found within, while a black rubber outsole completes the design.
If you’re interested in purchasing the 10-year anniversary edition of the adidas UltraBOOST 1.0 in its special colorway, it will be available on February 11. You can get it through adidas CONFIRMED and certain retailers at a starting price of $180 USD.
