Previously seen as Clark Kent on Superman & Lois, Tyler Hoechlin recently expressed his enthusiasm about David Corenswet’s portrayal of the iconic superhero. And I, too, am eager to see how this new interpretation unfolds.
During an interview with ScreenRant at the Saturn Awards, Hoechlin expressed his opinions about the upcoming Superman. When queried about his enthusiasm for this new version and what he’d like to witness, the actor articulated his thoughts.
I’m thrilled about the upcoming experience with this character, as I’ve long anticipated it. What started as two episodes unexpectedly expanded to eight years, and I eagerly await the day when I can hand over the reins. I’m genuinely excited to see how they develop it, as I believe they’re incredibly talented. I’m an ardent fan of Guardians of the Galaxy, so I can hardly wait to witness James’ work on it. David Corenswet sent me a lovely message before filming began, demonstrating his refined character. I wish him, Rachel, Nick, and the entire team the best, as well as the fans! I hope it becomes the best movie of the year.

He initially made appearances as the iconic Kryptonian hero in several episodes of Supergirl, and also joined the Arrowverse’s “Elseworlds” and “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossovers. Later, he had a starring role opposite Elizabeth Tulloch’s Lois Lane in Superman & Lois. However, it was disclosed that these portrayals were different incarnations of the characters compared to previous versions. As his time as Superman comes to an end, he’s excited to see David Corenswet take on the role and was touched by a message from his fellow actor before the movie filming began.

Alongside The Fantastic Four: First Steps from the MCU, July is shaping up to be an exciting month for upcoming superhero movies.

The film hits theaters on July 11th, and I’m hopeful that Tyler Hoechlin will be extended an invitation to the world premiere beforehand.
