British rap artist Stormzy has formally debuted his production company, #Merky Films, and revealed their first venture titled “Big Man“.
The British artist known as Michael Omari, also recognized as Stormzy, collaborated with Apple to create a brief film entirely filmed using an iPhone 16 Pro. Titled “Big Man“, this production is helmed by director Aneil Karia and marks Stormzy’s debut in the lead acting position.
The narrative presents a heartfelt, fictitious account of Tenzman, once a successful rap artist, struggling through a turbulent and unpredictable period in his life.
In an otherwise orderly existence, Tenzman’s tranquility is disrupted by the unforeseen arrival of two rowdy youngsters, Klevis and Tyrell. What unfolds is an extraordinary friendship among this improbable trio, igniting Tenzman’s long-dormant love for music, spontaneous delight, and delicate hope. The film cleverly mixes humor, sensitivity, and subtle change to delve into themes of rediscovering one’s youthful spirit and the power of gratitude.
Leveraging the success of his previous endeavors like the Merky Books, Merky Foundation, and Merky Football Club, the entertainer is now stepping into the realm of film and TV production with a new project.
On Thursday, Merky Films announced they are working on a drama series, a groundbreaking biopic, along with various documentaries, an animated project, and a modern twist on the mockumentary format.
