Universal Hollywood Announces Monstruos 3 Haunted House Inspired by Latin American Monsters

Universal Studios Hollywood is plunging back into the legends of Latin America for a third “Monsters”-themed haunted house, slated for Halloween Horror Nights 2025.

At the moment, there’s not too much detail to share, but here’s what we do know: The forthcoming movie “Monstruos 3” will focus on three well-known supernatural characters. They include La Llorona, often referred to as “The Weeping Woman,” who is recognized in many Latin American countries; La Muelona, a monster from Colombian folklore that feeds on flesh; and La Siguanaba, a frightening creature with a horse’s face, hailing from El Salvadoran tradition.

In the year 2022, the “Monstruos” banner debuted as a terrifying attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood. By 2023 and 2024, it had grown to become an independent area of its own.
