As someone who has spent countless hours exploring the mystical realms of Hyrule, I must say that “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom” is a truly captivating addition to the series. The developers have managed to breathe new life into the franchise by placing Zelda in the spotlight and introducing a unique gameplay mechanic with Tri and the Tri Rod.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
On my adventure to restore the realm, I, along with Tri, will stumble upon enigmatic fissures in this Luminous World. These regions are fragments of our overworld swallowed by the radiant rift. Within these rifts, a mystifying sword waits—a weapon that grants Zelda combat abilities reminiscent of Link’s own. Here’s a brief rundown on how to claim this Mysterious Sword:
What Is The Mysterious Sword?
To start off, our hero, Link, is swallowed by a chasm at the outset of the tale, taking his Sword of Strength along with him. This blade possesses the ability to vanquish foes conjured by the rift and has been in Link’s custody ever since it was forged by Lueberry. With Link now absent, this enigmatic sword is trapped within the chasm, leaving only Zelda and Tri with the mission of recovering it.
How To Obtain The Mysterious Sword?
In the primary adventure known as “The Mysterious Rifts,” Zelda and Tri will work together to rescue Tri’s companions, aiming to repair the fissure causing trouble at Lueberry’s abode. By adhering to the quest instructions, Tri will guide Zelda towards an entryway that offers access to this rift.
Within the tranquil expanse of the Stilled Suthorn Forest, nestled within the chasm, stands a massive, crumbling edifice at journey’s end. As you navigate the distorted landscape of this quiet realm, Tri will casually remark that they can save those trapped in the rift, but only if you repair it; otherwise, their fate is sealed forever. Upon arrival at the building, ready yourself to conquer its labyrinthine depths.
In “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom,” the Suthorn Ruins is the initial dungeon you’ll come across. It adheres to the traditional Zelda dungeon layout, featuring multiple floors, brain-teasing puzzles, and keys needed to complete it. However, keep in mind that this starting dungeon houses the game’s first mini-boss as well.
In this very same location, Tri will instruct Zelda on how to use the Bind and Reverse Bond skills. Use the Bind skill on the big rock in the following room to uncover a pathway leading to a switch that opens the door. Continue along the dungeon’s route until you find yourself on the second floor.
Upstairs on the second level, down the long corridor, I come face-to-face with a menacing Darknut guardian. Overcoming it will grant me the secret of the Darknut Echo. To move forward into deeper parts of the Suthorn Ruins, I’ll need to take a left turn.
In the upcoming scene, the camera angle changes to a side-scroll perspective. Zelda must now ignite the torches with the Ignizol Echo, which will subsequently open the door and grant her entry through the ladder into the following chamber.

In the following chamber, the camera automatically adjusts back to its regular setting. To gain access to this room whenever you wish, enable the waypoint. Inside, you’ll find four statues, one of which is holding a shield. Aim for the shield and apply the Bind skill to free it from the statue’s hands. This action will open the door to a mini-boss battle.
In the chamber beyond lies a trio of formidable Darknuts waiting to be bested. Conquer these foes and ascend the stairway that follows; a captivating scene will unfold thereafter.
In the Still World, Zelda faces a version of Link who protects himself with a shield, preventing frontal damage. To defeat him, it’s best to wait for his guard to drop and then unleash Echoes to inflict damage. An alternative strategy is to summon the Darknut Echo and hurl pots filled with hearts (which restore Zelda’s health) at regular Link as he battles the Darknut Echo. Additionally, Zelda can evade him by darting around the stone walls in the area and attacking from a distance.
After conquering the Still World’s Link, you’ll find him dropping the Enigmatic Blade. This sword empowers Zelda, enabling her to transform into Swordfighter Mode. The stone door ahead will now unlock, paving the way forward.
In the Swordfighter form, Zelda gains enhanced abilities. She can now utilize her shield for defense, and has an increased jumping capacity compared to her usual level. Moreover, she’s capable of charging her sword for a powerful spinning attack.
Here it is, the Enigmatic Blade now within my grasp. With this powerful artifact in hand, I’m ready to embark on my journey to shield Hyrule from the ominous fissures threatening its existence. Dive into our exceptional The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom guides and aid Link in his quest!
