Casper usually sets up his stall there, selling both wine and produce. However, during conversation, he’ll generously offer a complimentary taste of his wine. To initiate this quest, players should accept the sample and share their thoughts about the taste with him.

Casper needs assistance from them, and the initial task involves retrieving a wine-related manuscript. This precious item was left as a memento by Casper’s ex, Adleta Mannlicher, who is a daughter of a famous Kuttenberg blacksmith. Adleta is quite guarded, so when she’s not at home, she’s closely watched. However, during the day, she can be found in a local garden. To get to this spot, players will need to interact with Hugo Mannlicher, her protective brother.

How To Get Casper’s Book In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

By tracing one of the map markers during daylight, players will uncover Adleta’s concealed location. However, upon reaching this spot, they will encounter Hugo, her brother, who will halt their progress. To retrieve Casper’s Book and continue on the In Vino Veritas journey, here’s what players should do next:

  1. Approach the Gardens by Day and talk to Hugo Mannlicher.
  2. Convince him to let Henry enter the garden. Talking to him about Blacksmithing will convince him to leave his post for enough time to talk to his sister.
  3. Once he is gone, approach Adleta Mannlicher and talk to her about the book.
  4. She will make a suggestive proposal, and players should pick the ‘I could be your friend too‘ option.
  5. Then, pass a Charisma Check to recite some poetry.
  6. After that, choose the Book as the reward. (Avoid the Kiss option to prevent dealing with her brother later.)

Initially, it’s a straightforward test, and Havel would be pleased if Henry can successfully complete it. Subsequently, he might inquire about the finest wine from Germany – it’s preferable for the players to respond with “Steinberger”. After that, there will be two more tests, but the players are not required to pass them; instead, they should just make an effort to do so.

If you decline to comment on the wine, saying “I’m neutral about this wine,” it may cause Havel to terminate the discussion prematurely, and he won’t be able to gather the necessary information for his quest.

How To Infiltrate The Monastery During The In Vino Veritas Quest

Participants can seamlessly blend into the Monastery Winery by participating in the “Under the Straw Hat Mission“, effectively landing them jobs at the vineyard. Speak with the Recruiter at the winery’s entrance, then converse with the Supervisor to commence work immediately. If completed during daylight hours, the character Henry will be granted unrestricted access to the main building of the Vineyard, a crucial location where players must venture to achieve one of the mission’s objectives: to “unravel the mystery of the monastery“.

Currently, you can explore all communal spaces within the Vineyard. As you move about, collect some herbs to blend in, and observe carefully as there’s a large wall adjacent to the monastery. A guard is stationed at that entrance door – make note of this and their location for future reference.

As a gamer, I find the main structure quite conveniently located, with an entrance right next to the supervisor. Stepping inside is all it takes to get started. My goal is to locate the kitchen, where I’ll find the back door that leads to the deposit room. Once there, my eyes should be drawn to a Medium difficulty door. With a bit of lockpicking skill, I can unlock it and make my way to the chest at the end. That’s where I’ll find the quest item required to complete the ‘Find the Monastery Secret’ objective: Sulfur Wicks.

How To Get The Wine Seedlings For Casper In KCD2

As you approach the entrance to the main structure, keep your gaze forward until it’s clear that no one else is within. Once that’s assured, locate the door at the rear of the building and step through it to reach a restricted sector – the area where the Wine Seedlings are kept.

Follow the left wall and bide your time until the worker finishes washing tools, at which point head towards the area where the Seedling orchard lies. Players should keep an eye out for a unique, square patch of earth, sporting tiny, pointed plants that don’t resemble any plants they’ve encountered in the game before. This will help them avoid any confusion about what they’re looking for.

Remember that the guard can overhear Henry and may approach to investigate, so it’s crucial for you to stay away from the double wooden doors and maintain stealth throughout. Now, gently take out five seedlings from the plot and make your way back towards the door leading to the main building. It could be wise to wait a while before re-entering the building if there are any Vineyard workers inside, just to avoid causing an alarm.

If executed properly, Henry will gather all necessary items to finish In Vino Veritas and, upon completion, return to Casper for his rewards. To find him, travel back to Kuttenberg and locate Casper near the fountain. Deliver Wicks, Seedlings, and the book if it hasn’t already been handed over.

Casper will give players 75 coins called Groschen for uncovering The Secret, an additional 425 Groschen for the Seedlings, and a Level 4 Skill Book on Drinking as well. By accomplishing this task, players will have successfully finished In Vino Veritas.
