In the lush Emerald Stair region of Avowed, Fior Mes Iverno serves as the principal town that newcomers first explore. Upon stopping by the Bone and Boar tavern, players will encounter Lieutenant Fidelio, a man deeply engrossed in drink. After exchanging words with him, he’ll reveal his concerns about two rangers who went missing under his command. Consequently, players are tasked with discovering the whereabouts of these missing rangers as part of the Missing Rangers questline.
How to Start the Missing Rangers Quest in Avowed
In the Boar and Bones tavern, located east of the Animancy Workshop within Fior in Avowed, you can find Lieutenant Fidelio to initiate the Missing Rangers quest. He’ll be found seated to the left, grumbling about a task he couldn’t complete. By lending him an ear and offering your assistance, players will embark on a journey that leads them towards the Wildwoods region in Emerald Stair, where they’ll search for Belenna and Adelarro.
Find Belenna and Adelarro in the Missing Rangers Quest
Now, depart Fior Mes Iverno and trace the western flowing river to locate the first missing ranger, Belenna. She’s been stricken with a disease that’s transforming her into a mindless Dreamthrall. Although she’s not fully aware, Belenna asks you to investigate Adelarro before moving on to find him.
In your current location, Adelarro is found a bit higher upstream, but he’s not himself anymore – he’s become a mindless Dreamthrall. Consequently, players will have to confront and defeat Adelarro, along with the other individuals who have fallen victim to Dreamthrall’s influence in the vicinity. A wise approach would be to allow Adelarro to focus on your companions while you handle the smaller foes in the area first. Once all the other adversaries are subdued, you can then successfully defeat Adelarro for good.
Following your victory over him, search his remains for the loot. Then, make your way back to Fior Mes Iverno and converse with Lieutenant Fidelio.
Return to Lieutenant Fidelio
Following my encounter with Lieutenant Fidelio, I will pass on both badges to him and disclose Belenna’s predicament. He will assume responsibility for the two rangers’ condition and will look after Belenna. At the end of our conversation, he will compensate the players with the distinctive artifact known as the Emerald Stair’s Relic. This action signifies that the Missing Rangers quest in Avowed has been successfully completed.
