Unveiled: How to Nail the Damsel in Distress Quest in KCD2!

The “Damsel in Distress” mission in “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” is one of the optional activities that players might encounter during their journey through the Kuttenberg region, but it won’t be simple to initiate this quest.

First, players need to know the exact location where this Task appears, and then, the best way to solve the issue with the Miller before Henry gets into trouble. So, here’s a guide on how to complete Damsel In Distress in KCD2.

Where To Start Damsel In Distress In KCD2

Travel to Bylany, the place where several interesting quests including Dragon’s Lair can be picked from the residents. Now, take the northwestern road and keep going straight towards Old Lotha, following the road next to the river. There’s a building with a drying rack there, and upon approaching it, players will hear a woman asking for help.

Approach the house from the northern side, and pass the barn to detect where the sounds come from: a shed on the side of the main building. The woman trapped inside crying for help says to be the Miller’s wife and asks Henry to find the shed keys to free her before her husband comes back with an axe, to execute her.

How To Free The Woman In Damsel In Distress

To release the woman in Damsel In Distress, players can either pick the lock or grab the keys from the table inside the house next to the shed. It doesn’t matter what players choose, next, the woman will ask them to find the Miller before he comes back with the axe.

Instead, circle the primary structure to locate Miller, but beware, no Miller can be found there. And it seems plausible that the players have already figured out, there’s something suspicious about the woman.

Returning to the shed to seek clarifications, Henry will find Miller and Officer Catchpole there, keeping watch. As he approaches them, Henry plans to express his belief that the woman was in peril.

Turns out she was a thief and the Miller now wants Henry to take responsibility, demanding compensation for all the things the woman stole or being taken in her place. Players can pass several types of checks from Medium to Hard to avoid being prosecuted, but choosing to explain that he acted in good faith seems like the best possible approach.

There’s also the option to pay for the stolen goods (500 Groschen) which will give Henry a great reputation boost and some speech experience. There’s no further reward for this Task, only a lesson to learn: Strange women lying in sheds claiming to be Damsels in Distress are not to be trusted, especially not in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
