Valorant 10.06 Patch Brings Buff to KAY/O and Nerfs for Other Agents

In regular intervals, Valorant introduces updates featuring fresh elements like the Ranked Rollback or RR refund (introduced at patch 10.05). Additionally, adjustments will be made to Agent kits for maintaining a fair gameplay environment. These updates are crucial as they foster diversity in team tactics and strategies on the battlefield.

In the recently announced update 10.06 for Valorant, modifications are planned for the abilities of characters KAY/O, Yoru, and Vyse. Specifically, KAY/O is set to receive a boost in power for his skills, while both Yoru and Vyse will experience a decrease in effectiveness with their kits.

Users of KAY/O will generally be thrilled with the modifications to his kit. Initially, the duration for which KAY/O can resurrect an ally has been reduced by half, from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds. Consequently, this reduction in time means quicker resurrection for KAY/O players to rejoin the battlefield and assist their teammates more promptly.

As a gamer, I’ve got to tweak my strategy when it comes to using KAY/O’s flashes. Now, instead of popping instantly upon bounce, there’s a 0.8-second windup before it goes off, accompanied by a distinct sound and visual. The duration of the underhand flash has been extended to 1.5 seconds, the time to unequip it has been reduced to 0.6 seconds, and the range for the “flashing” voice line callout has been expanded from 20m to 50m. To top it off, there’s a minimap indicator for the flash, but only teammates can see it.

In the meantime, adjustments (nerfs) are being made to both Yoru and Vyse. The changes for Yoru aren’t significant, but due to his clone ability now costing 100 credits more, players might need to reconsider their economic strategy a bit.

Vyse’s appearance in competitive matches and tournaments is becoming more frequent. She’s often one of the initial Sentinel choices when playing on a map like Pearl. However, developers at Valorant consider that the duration of her Razorvines and wall are excessive, making her a significant obstacle against pushes. As a result, the developers have reduced the duration of her Razorvines to 7 seconds and made her wall collapse after 6 seconds.

Additionally, the main focus is on resolving bugs, enhancing player interactions, and optimizing Sunset’s CPU efficiency.

Time for KAY/O, Vyse, and Yoru mains to get ready for these changes!
