As a seasoned gamer with a keen eye for style, I’ve seen my fair share of sneakers and streetwear, but the VANS TOKYO DESIGN COLLECTIVE‘s “In Transit” collection has truly caught my attention. Being a connoisseur of all things retro, I was instantly drawn to the nods to sportswear of yesteryears in this release.
Day by day, Tadayuki Kato and Shinsuke Nakada’s VANS TOKYO DESIGN COLLECTIVE keeps innovating on Vans’ iconic shapes and styles. The newest addition to their series of remarkably inventive yet authentic offerings from this supplier is called “In Transit,” drawing inspiration primarily from retro sportswear.
At the forefront is a fresh shoe design called the “LX Knu Skool MTE.” This model takes a modern twist on a traditional shape, boasting a unique upper made of blended wool and leather materials. The style comes in two color options: black and black, with bold red laces adding a touch of fiery flair. Additionally, the new Knu Skool sneakers include 3D, textured side stripes and a cozy Primaloft interior for added comfort.
Regarding their clothing line, Kato and Nakada provide several outerwear options inspired by vintage sports attire. Some notable jackets include puffers appearing in a variety of bold colors, as well as more subtle corduroy shackets. Additionally, knit sweaters and corduroy pants conclude this coordinated collection.
Take a peek at the latest offerings from the VANS TOKYO DESIGN COLLECTIVE, featured in the lookbook provided, with their release scheduled for purchase on November 1.
