The upcoming comedy movie from Varun Dhawan and Ramesh Taurani is creating quite a buzz before its debut. Earlier reports indicated that actress Sreeleela would be starring alongside Varun in this David Dhawan-directed production, which is being produced by Tips Films. However, more recent gossip suggests that Sreeleela has stepped away from the project. Additionally, it’s been reported that the initial filming for the movie was completed without her involvement.
Now, producer Ramesh Taurani has addressed the rumors and issued a clarification.
Regarding whispers about actress Sreeleela leaving Varun Dhawan’s upcoming comedy movie produced by Ramesh Taurani, the producer has spoken up to clear the air. In a formal declaration, Ramesh Taurani clarified that no one has been approached for the role, urging people not to trust such gossip. He mentioned that an announcement will follow once a new cast member is selected. Additionally, he confirmed that the initial shoot of the film has already been wrapped up.
As a seasoned casting director with years of experience under my belt, I understand the intricacies and complexities that come with the process of finalizing a cast for a film. I’ve been there myself, waiting eagerly for the perfect fit to step into a role, only to find that it takes time and patience. We haven’t yet approached anyone for this particular role; instead, we are still in the midst of our painstaking search to find the ideal candidate who can bring the character to life.
In a chat with ETimes, the producer mentioned that they had only been contemplating Sreeleela for the part. In other words, they were merely thinking about casting her.
Originally slated for Sreeleela’s entry into Bollywood, the movie now seems to feature Mrunal Thakur as the possible co-star with Varun Dhawan in an unnamed production. This upcoming film will serve as the third joint effort between Varun Dhawan and his director father, David Dhawan, following their previous projects Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2.
