2025 looks to be a bustling year for the multitalented actor, Varun Dhawan, despite some recent setbacks. Despite the disappointing performance of his last film, Baby John, at the box office, Varun is poised for a comeback with an action-packed schedule and intriguing new projects on the horizon – from war dramas like Border 2 to romantic comedies such as Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
A well-known actor, recognized for his successful movies, is now directing his attention towards his upcoming productions, with the highly anticipated war drama Border 2 being his first priority. Starting this month, Varun Dhawan will begin filming for the movie, making it one of the most challenging and significant projects in his career so far.
As a lifestyle expert looking back, I recall with excitement the unveiling of Border 2 in June 2024 – a date that held special significance as it marked the anniversary of its predecessor’s release. The captivating trailer, narrated by Sunny Deol, left me eagerly anticipating what was to come. In the ensuing months, I watched with interest as Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty joined the esteemed cast, warmly welcomed by none other than our very own Sunny Deol.
In this rephrased version: The promotional video for the upcoming film presents it as “India’s grandest war movie.” As the video ends, it features the powerful and inspiring song, Sandese Aate Hain, sung by Roopkumar Rathod and Sonu Nigam. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is being produced by JP Dutta, Nidhi Dutta, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar. This eagerly-anticipated movie will be released in theaters in the year 2026.
Stepping back into a genre he’s known for excelling in – romantic comedies, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari marks Varun’s return to a familiar territory, offering laughter, emotion, and lots of fun. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the movie brings him together once more with his Bawaal co-star, Janhvi Kapoor.
The movie additionally stars Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, Sanya Malhotra, and Akshay Oberoi in significant roles. This production, supported by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, is set to hit theaters on April 18, 2025.
In the future, Varun is set to star alongside Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor in Boney Kapoor’s film titled “No Entry 2.” Currently, a large group of actors are being gathered for this production, as casting is currently happening. An announcement regarding “No Entry 2” will be made publicly soon.
