VEJA Taps P. Andrade for a Refreshing Spin on the Fitz Roy Hiking Shoe

As a seasoned adventurer and sustainability enthusiast, I can’t help but be thrilled about the VEJA x P.Andrade Fitz Roy collaboration! Having trekked through numerous terrains, from the Amazon rainforest to the rugged Himalayan mountains, I appreciate footwear that not only looks good but also performs exceptionally well.

Name: VEJA x P.Andrade Fiz Roy (Collaboration)

The French shoe brand, Veja, has teamed up with the Brazilian label, P. Andrade, for their inaugural footwear partnership, showcasing a combined collection.

In the style of VEJA’s Fitz Roy trekking shoe, this joint project showcases a multicolored design evocative of natural rock formations. This mosaic-like pattern covers the entire shoe upper, with a subtle blue hue adding harmony to a range of earthy tones, inspired by the vibrant colors of the Amazon rainforest.

As stated by Pedro Andrade and Paula Kim, creators of P. Andrade, the unique design of the shoe is inspired by their intrigue towards sealing systems. They initially tested the shoe on an Amazon expedition, where they were captivated by its effectiveness and aesthetics.

In harmony with both brands’ eco-friendly ideologies and actions, this joint shoe project boasts a midsole made of 52% sugarcane and 3% Amazonian rubber. Simultaneously, the outsole guarantees durability against rough terrains, boasting a composition of 31% Amazonian rubber material.
