As a long-time Call of Duty fan, I can’t contain my excitement as we get closer to the return of the legendary Verdansk map in Warzone! The OG Warzone map holds a special place in my gaming heart, and although Verdansk ’84 tried to replicate its success, nothing beats the original.

Although Verdansk ’84 attempted to recreate its magic, nothing beats the original for many of us. The anticipation of having the greatest Warzone map back is all some of us can talk about.
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve learned from a recent Warzone teaser that Atlas Superstore will be joining the game on July 24! Initially, there were rumors about a delay in Verdansk’s return, but the addition of this new Point of Interest (POI) might mean it’s not as far off as we thought.

Warzone. Atlas Superstore first appeared as a multiplayer map in Modern Warfare’s 2019 Season 2, set in Verdansk. Since it shares ties with the popular Verdansk map, many players are making the connection.
One fan excitedly exclaimed, “Wow, we’re heading back home!!!,” while another expressed, “The servers will be under immense pressure….” And a third declared, “I’ll bring back the warzone if needed.” However, not all were convinced as someone stated, “Nah, just give us Verdansk in its entirety instead.” Some criticize the team for trying to prevent us from having a complete Verdansk return.
In simpler terms, the Urzikstan Superstore location in Warzone is meant to fill the gap until Verdansk returns, but the developers may have unintentionally made us more aware of what we’re lacking. Black Ops Cold War is coming soon and will bring significant changes to Warzone once again. However, many Call of Duty fans can only focus on one thing – their longing for Verdansk.
