On February 26th, a screening for Vicky Kaushal’s film Chhaava at Select Citywalk Mall in Delhi was disrupted due to a fire that started within the theater. This unexpected event led to some commotion among the audience as a part of the screen began to burn. Thankfully, no one was injured during this incident.

As per News 18’s report, an official from the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) shared that a fire occurred at approximately 5:44 PM while the movie Chhaava was being screened. This incident led to the immediate deployment of six fire trucks. Remarkably, the fire was quickly extinguished within just 10 minutes, and thankfully, no injuries were sustained.

According to reports, a representative from the mall later commented on the incident, explaining that they had previously discovered a short circuit in the connected movie theater. They promised to collaborate with the theater staff and authorities, while emphasizing that no one was injured. Furthermore, they made it clear that regular activities at Nexus Select Citywalk were continuing as usual.

As a devoted follower of Vicky Kaushal, I found myself engrossed in the movie Chhaava when an unexpected incident occurred. Upon spotting flames and noticing smoke billowing, the atmosphere quickly turned chaotic, with people reacting in panic and shouting. Despite the fire being relatively small, the alarm was activated, causing cinema staff to rush in and urgently direct everyone to evacuate without delay.

In a return to filmmaking after two years, Laxman Utekar’s latest movie titled “Chhaava” was released on Valentine’s Day in 2025. Starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, this film has been impressing audiences at the box office. Adapted from a Marathi novel called “Chava”, it delves into the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the firstborn son of the founder of the Maratha empire, through a historical action drama narrative.

In this movie, Vicky plays the main character, and Rashmika acts as his on-screen spouse, named Yesubai Bhonsale. Additionally, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta are part of the cast, playing important roles.

Simultaneously, the creators made an exciting announcement through social media. The makers confirmed that it will be released on Telugu screens on March 7, due to popular demand.
