Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video: Director Raaj says Mallika Sherawat’s comeback is why 3% of Rajkummar Rao, Triptii Dimri starrer is ‘Maha Parivarik’

As an ardent fan who’s been following Mallika Sherawat’s career since her “Murder” days, I must say, the trailer of “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video” has rekindled my excitement for Bollywood! The news that Mallika is returning to the big screen after a long hiatus, and in a comedy no less, has sent me into a frenzy.

Actress Mallika Sherawat is poised to make a comeback on the silver screen following a break, starring alongside Vicky and Vidya in “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.” Earlier today (September 12th), the trailer for this production was unveiled, with Mallika’s scenes garnering immense attention online due to their rapid spread across the internet. During the premiere of the trailer, director Raaj Shaandilyaa disclosed the true motivation behind casting Mallika in this comedy.

The discussion initiated with producer Bhushan Kumar expressing, “We felt it would be fitting to welcome Mallika Sherawat back as she hasn’t taken up a role like this in a while. Raj, share your vision…” At this point, the audience erupted into laughter, prompting Shaandilyaa to explain that he was referring to bringing the captivating sensation on board.

Shaandilyaa explained that he created a movie centered around a middle-class family, featuring prominent actors such as Rajkummar Rao and Mallika Sherawat. He chose to include Mallika in the film because her character was perfectly suited for her and she matched well with the modern girls of that time. Apart from this project, there is no connection between him and Mallika. His movie is primarily about family (97%) with just a small percentage (3%) dedicated to other aspects, and he included Mallika in these minor scenes only.

In addition to Vicky Kaushal, the film “Vidya Wala Video” features notable performances by Triptii Dimri, Vijay Raaz, Mast Ali, Archana Puran Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, Archana Patel, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, and Ashwini Kalsekar in prominent roles. At the event, Bhushan Kumar acknowledged Rajkummar Rao’s talent, referring to him as an exceptional actor.

He excels at portraying every role, whether it’s a comedic or a true-to-life tale. When we gave him the character of Srikanth, on set he was always in character, according to Bhushan. He also mentioned that there’s no one who can match Rao’s comic timing, and for this specific film, he couldn’t think of anyone else but the actor from Stree 2.

As a seasoned lifestyle connoisseur, I can’t help but express my heartfelt appreciation for each and every actor involved in the making of “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video”. Their collective effort and dedication have truly brought this project to life, and I eagerly await its grand debut on the big screen. Mark your calendars for October 11, 2024, as we’ll all be gathering at our local theaters to witness the culmination of their hard work!
