As a devoted admirer of Indian cinema, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia when reminiscing about the times Vidya Balan and Dia Mirza shared the silver screen. Their camaraderie and on-set bond are a testament to the unique dynamics that unfold in the vibrant world of Bollywood.
Vidya Balan is ready to amuse viewers with her forthcoming horror-comedy movie titled Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, helmed by Anees Bazmee. Alongside Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri in significant roles, the film is set for release. In a recent interview, Balan reminisced about her past experiences, sharing an instance where she unintentionally offered Mirza unsolicited advice that resulted in a swollen eye.
During an interview with Galatta India about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Vidya Balan reminisced about her good friend and fellow actor, Dia Mirza. As they chatted, Balan fondly remembered working together on Parineeta, alongside the Dhak Dhak star. One particular memory that stood out to her was when Dia developed a stye in her eye while filming. Being reminded of how her mother used to treat similar issues by wrapping hot rice in a cloth and applying it to the affected area as a child, Balan suggested Dia try the same remedy.
The following day, the infection worsened for Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, causing them to film the scene with sunglasses on. “That’s an experience I’ll always remember,” Vidya shared. “I felt so terrible. After that incident, I stopped dishing out advice unless asked. However, she never mentioned it again. She was just too kind.
Later on, Shakuntala Devi highly commended Dia, having collaborated with her in films such as Parineeta, Lage Raho Munnabhai, and Bobby Jasoos where she served as the producer. Describing it as an incredible experience, the star of BB3 expressed that she was unaware Mirza had such a gentle and loving nature. “Witnessing her in her role as a mother is simply astounding,” Vidya Balan added. “I have observed different aspects of her. She makes everything seem effortless.” That was Vidya Balan’s conclusion.
As an ardent admirer, I can hardly contain my excitement as I eagerly await the release of Balan’s chilling-yet-comic masterpiece, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. I’ve been told by a reliable source that this film, currently in its final stages of post-production, is set to be submitted to censors within the next couple of days. And here’s the thrilling part: The runtime for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3? A gripping 2 hours and 38 minutes!
The movie is set to hit big screens on November 1, 2024, and will lock horns with Singham Again.
