As an ardent admirer of Vikrant Massey, I find his recent decisions and revelations both inspiring and heartwarming. His unwavering dedication to his craft is evident in every role he plays, yet it’s his commitment to his personal life that truly sets him apart.
Vikrant Massey’s post about needing a change earlier this year became widely popular online, leading some people to misinterpret it as a retirement announcement. However, the actor from the movie “12th Fail” has clarified that the decision was motivated by a desire to spend more time with his family. Regrettably, work obligations prevented him from going on a honeymoon with his spouse.
In a chat with Fever FM, Vikrant Massey spoke about his recent post and explained that some people found it hard to grasp its meaning. He admitted that he intended to express himself succinctly in the post. The actor made it clear that he’s willing to appear on screen regardless of the medium—be it television, streaming platforms, or movies. Furthermore, he expressed appreciation for the unexpected affection he received for his projects 12th Fail, Sector 36, and The Sabarmati Report.
Speaking about his break, Vikrant explained that the work was becoming increasingly demanding on both a physical and mental level. He confessed to feeling like he was doing the same things over and over again. Moreover, he pointed out that today’s standards of ‘good’ are so low that anything that is average or below par is often considered good, which isn’t beneficial for him in the long term.
He expressed, “I intend to continue performing for as long as possible. I’m determined to maintain my creativity. So, I concluded it’s the perfect moment for me.
In relation to its impact on his personal life, he mentioned, “I didn’t get a chance to take a honeymoon after my wedding nor did I stay with my wife for more than three months. My son was born, who started calling me ‘papa’, began walking and even grew teeth without me realizing it.
He confessed that he’s watched his son grow up primarily over the phone, which made him understand that life continues, but he feels the need to invest more time in his family, travel, read, and relax. He’s determined to avoid exhaustion and emphasized that he won’t be quitting acting.
