VMAs Host Megan Thee Stallion: “I Deserve a Gold Medal for Being a Bad B****”

As a gamer who’s grown up with the rhythm of MTV and the beats of hip-hop, I can honestly say that Megan Thee Stallion’s performance at this year’s VMAs was nothing short of phenomenal! Her energy, charisma, and sheer audacity to pay homage to Britney Spears in such a memorable way made the night unforgettable.

On Wednesday evening, Megan Thee Stallion captivated the crowd with her lively and charismatic hosting of the MTV Video Music Awards.

At 29 years old, Megan started off the evening in a leotard with only one shoulder, similar to what an Olympic gymnast might wear. She playfully acknowledged fellow Houston resident and gymnastics gold medalist Simone Biles, teasing that she had borrowed her outfit and made some modifications. In a humorous twist, Megan quipped, “I should get a gold medal for being such a sassy woman!

At the VMAs last night, they commemorated four decades of the event by reminiscing about memorable past occurrences. Megan decided to honor the occasion personally, appearing with a genuine snake, echoing Britney Spears’ legendary 2001 performance. Furthermore, she donned an outfit similar to Spears’ instantly recognizable attire from that time.

Megan briefly interacted with the snake, then requested they stop the music and retrieve it, as she jokingly said, “I’m only fooling around. Bring me that snake.

Megan remarked, “This is a snake I’ve never encountered before, and it seems to have no idea who I am.” She squealed as they removed the creature from her shoulders. “I was trying to keep it still for Britney,” she explained.

Megan sang a mix of various tunes such as “BOA,” “B.A.S”, and “HISS”. Additionally, she performed her latest chart-topper, “Mamushi”, from her latest album titled “Megan“. To make the performance even more special, she invited the song’s collaborating artist, Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, on stage. Megan excitedly introduced the performer during the song itself, exclaiming “Directly from Japan for the first time, here’s Yuki!

During one of her multiple wardrobe changes throughout the evening, Megan made an appearance on stage in an attire similar to the one she wore in the latest Pepsi commercial inspired by Gladiator II. This recent addition to the massive Gladiator-themed advertising campaign also showcased Megan, as well as football players Josh Allen, Derrick Henry and Justin Jefferson.

This new campaign combines elements from the realms of music, athletics, and show business, following in the footsteps of the iconic 2004 Super Bowl advertisement titled “Roman Empire,” which featured celebrities such as Beyoncé, Spears, and Pink.
