As confirmed by Walton Goggins himself, enthusiasts of the show “Fallout” have much to anticipate in Season 2. Following the successful debut of Amazon Prime Video’s adaptation last season, which garnered numerous accolades and surpassed viewership expectations for the streaming platform, production on a second season was promptly initiated. Goggins, Ella Purnell, and Aaron Moten are all slated to reprise their roles in “Fallout” Season 2 as they venture back into the Wasteland. To make matters even more exciting for fans, Goggins has hinted that Season 2 will be venturing to New Vegas in the desolate Nevada desert. Luckily for fans, there’s yet another reason to get thrilled about Season 2.
In a chat with Deadline for the upcoming third season of “The White Lotus”, Goggins was inquired about the progress of “Fallout” Season 2 and how much has been filmed thus far. The actor shared that they are currently in the midst of filming it, having started back in November. It was actually Goggins who first announced the production of “Fallout” Season 2 when he posted a picture of himself wearing The Ghoul’s prosthetics on social media. “I can confidently say that I thought Season 1 was outstanding,” Goggins added. This sentiment is hardly surprising given that Season 1 garnered numerous awards, including a Primetime Emmy, from its 16 total nominations.
“This blows it out of the water!”
According to Goggins, the premiere of the show is insignificant compared to the upcoming Fallout season. “It outshines it,” he added. “The talent behind this production – the writers and artisans – have crafted an incredible story that I’m eager for people to witness. We’re putting in a lot of effort to ensure its release.
What To Expect From ‘Fallout’ Season 2
Although an official release date for Fallout Season 2 hasn’t been set yet, the show’s creators, Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, are working tirelessly to make the wait between seasons as short as possible. As Wagner stated back in June of last year, “We’re pushing forward as quickly as we can, and much of the heavy lifting from Season 1 has already been accomplished.
As a movie enthusiast, I eagerly anticipate the continuation of Lucy MacLean’s (Purnell) gripping odyssey to find her father Hank (Kyle MacLachlan), last spotted vanishing into the Mojave Wasteland – a place gamers are familiar with as the backdrop of the renowned “Fallout: New Vegas” video game. Accompanying Lucy on this quest is an enigmatic Ghoul, whose primary objective is to grill Hank for insights regarding his family’s whereabouts. Simultaneously, Maximus (Moten) has ascended within the Brotherhood of Steel, yet grapples with personal ethical quandaries concerning their ambitions in the Wasteland.
Without a doubt, the main attraction of Season 2 is undeniably Las Vegas from the game series. Already, leaked photos from the upcoming season have hinted at least one familiar location from the video game. To put it simply, fans are eagerly waiting for the legendary New Vegas strip to be recreated in real life when the show resumes on Prime Video. At this point, a specific return date has not been announced yet.
