The actor cautiously admitted that he couldn’t disclose any storylines for his character, lest creator Mike White might retaliate. In a surprising turn, Goggins shared details about his hotel stay and the startling incident during checkout. He stated:
“You get to stay at a five-star [hotel], but what they don’t tell you when you check in to the White Lotus is how expensive it is to check out of the White Lotus. I swear this is a true story — not just for me but for everybody — six weeks into it, I go to pay my bill. I looked at my bill and I started laughing. Literally, [a hotel staffer] handed me the bill and I started laughing like, ‘Ha, yeah right! You guys are joking'”
Although renowned for his TV acting roles, Goggins overlooked the inclusion of a room service clause in his contract. When it came time to check out, he found himself confronted by an unexpectedly high bill filled with pricey treats. In his own words, Goggins said:
“I was under the impression that my Thai-spiced cashews were just a handful, but it turns out I had around thirty! I’m surprised by the number, as I only thought I had a few.”
