Warner Bros. Discovery has appointed Eric Pallotta, a former executive from Netflix, to lead their social media tactics and editorial initiatives in promoting the Max streaming service.
In her role as the Senior Vice President of Global Brand, Social, and Editorial within WBD’s direct-to-consumer branch, Pallotta is responsible for devising social media strategies and creating editorial campaigns for the studio’s main streaming service.

For approximately ten years, he dedicated his work to developing Netflix’s global social media approach for audience interaction, a role that was instrumental in establishing their streaming dominance. Lately, he held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at the well-known sleep product company, Hatch.
Eric Pallotta will collaborate with Zach Enterlin, the executive vice president of brand, content, and creative at HBO & Max, in managing brand marketing. According to Shauna Spenley, the Chief Marketing Officer of Max and Discovery+, Eric has established a strong reputation as an innovative earned media marketer and will prove beneficial for the company.
In August 2024, WBD appointed Spenley as the Global Chief Marketing Officer of its direct-to-consumer division, overseeing their streaming marketing initiatives. She is responsible for managing all marketing aspects, subscriber growth, retention, research, and other critical areas for WBD’s streaming services such as Max and Discovery+. Her reports go directly to JB Perrette, the CEO and president of global streaming and games at WBD.
Spenley’s latest role was as the president of entertainment at Riot Games, preceded by his tenure as Vice President for Marketing and Public Relations at Netflix.
