Warner Bros. TV Elevates Executives Clancy Collins White, Mele Nagler

Warner Bros. TV is promoting two veteran executives.

Clancy Collins White has been appointed as the President of Creative Affairs in a newly created role at the studio. This position expands her responsibilities to include casting and research. At the same time, Mele Nagler, the Casting Chief, has been promoted to Executive Vice President. She will now report directly to Collins White.

For over two decades, Clancy has been a vital contributor to the success of Warner Bros. Television. It’s fantastic news that she will now step into an even more significant leadership position. Her talent for storytelling lies at the core of our work, and her collaborative mindset, fervor for creating top-notch television, and commitment to our artistic partners make her a perfect fit as our creative leader moving forward,” said Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group and WBD U.S. Networks. “Mele has been instrumental in assembling exceptional casts for our most prominent series currently on air. I am thrilled to acknowledge her exceptional work with this well-deserved promotion.

Collins White has served as the Executive Vice President of Creative Affairs at WBTV since 2020. In her new position, she will continue to manage comedy and drama development, which are headed by Adrienne Turner for comedy and Parul Agrawal for drama. Additionally, Nagler’s casting department and Jeanne Cotton’s audience and content research and insights team will now report directly to her.

Collins White expressed gratitude and excitement about his new role at Warner Bros Television, where he’s spent over two decades. He acknowledged Channing’s mentorship and consistent backing, promising continued collaboration with her. He’s eager to work alongside the gifted teams and top-tier storytellers in the industry,” said Collins White.

At the studio, Nagler will carry on serving as the head of casting. Her responsibilities include spearheading the production of all live-action scripted programs, managing her team effectively, and recruiting freelance casting directors.

Warner Bros Television remains my proud professional base, and I’m thrilled to carry on working with some of the finest executives in the industry, as we collectively nurture exceptional creative talent,” Nagler expressed. “I am deeply grateful to Channing and Clancy for their faith in me. I eagerly anticipate our future partnership.

Dungey remains in charge of the ongoing programming, while the head of that department, Vicki Dummer, now reports directly to her. On the other hand, Brett Paul, who serves as both President of Warner Bros. Television Group and COO of WBD U.S. Networks, continues to oversee business affairs.

Or more concisely:

Dungey has control over current programming, with Vicki Dummer, the department head, now answering to her. Meanwhile, Brett Paul, who holds positions as President of Warner Bros. Television Group and COO of WBD U.S. Networks, continues managing business affairs.

In 2004, Collins White started working at WBTV as the Vice President of Current Programming. Three years into her tenure, she transitioned into Drama Development. Over time, she climbed up the ladder and became Executive Vice President of Drama Development, later advancing to the position of Executive Vice President of Creative Affairs.

In 2015, Nagler started working at Warner Bros. TV, and by the next year, she was promoted to vice president. She ascended to the position of senior vice president and head of casting in 2022, following stints as the studio’s casting executive on various shows such as The CW’s Black Lightning and Kung Fu, OWN’s critically acclaimed David Makes Man, Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Sweet Tooth, among others.
