Anupam Kher and Jackie Shroff are long-time acting colleagues with a strong friendship off-set. They frequently run into each other at public functions, where they delight in exchanging warm greetings. Recently, they took a road trip to Jackie’s countryside residence, located beyond Mumbai, which is surrounded by expanses of beautiful, verdant forests.

Experiencing the invigorating rush of the wind and savoring its refreshing chill in an expansive open space, devoid of urban confines, is unmatched. Renowned Bollywood actors Anupam Kher and Jackie Shroff savored this very sensation during Jackie’s visit to his rural retreat outside Mumbai.
Kher shared a video on his X account (previously Twitter), depicting the delightful moments they spent at the green area. Perched on a raised vantage point, the actor from Uunchai reminisced about Shroff’s transformation. From residing in a chawl at Teen Batti in Mumbai to owning this beautiful property, his journey was recalled by Kher.
I once had a friend dwelling in Teen Batti, but now that friend has moved into this current locale, which I fondly refer to as “heaven” or “Jannat”.
The Phone Bhoot remarked that he considered that very house a paradise for him in the past. He explained that once there were only vast expanses of greenery, but now it had been transformed into an urban maze of concrete structures. “In time, even this place will look the same,” he warned Kher, urging him to bring his mother to visit his home nestled in nature.

When Jackie Shroff recalled living in Mumbai chawl for 33 years
I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Siddharth Kannan and sharing some memories with him. Among those memories was my recollection of living in my chawl in Mumbai for thirty-three significant years. As we conversed, a sense of nostalgia washed over me as I spoke about my cherished old house and the precious moments I experienced there.
At times, he goes back to the small house and the neighborhood where he grew up. He has such strong feelings for this place that he’s considered purchasing it. But, because of the heavy documentation required, he’s put his plans on hold.
Simultaneously, in his professional life, Kher is currently filming for The Signature and Vijay 69. Meanwhile, Shroff is set to appear in Singham Again and Baby John.
