‘Broken City’ Was Panned by Critics at the Time…but It’s Still Worth a Watch
Initially, the film “Broken City” received overwhelmingly negative feedback from both critics and viewers. Currently, it has a dismal rating of 26% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics, while managing a slightly better (yet still insufficient) 40% score from audiences on Popcornmeter. Upcoming projects for Wahlberg include playing a character previously portrayed by both Mel Gibson and action star Jason Statham – the mysterious Parker – in the crime thriller “Play Dirty“, reprising his role in the sequel of “The Family Plan 2” on Apple TV+, acting alongside Paul Walter Hauser, Molly Shannon, Eva De Dominici, Benjamin Bratt, Daniela Melchior, Eric André and Chelsey Crisp under director Peter Farrelly’s action-comedy “Balls Up“, and leading the long-awaited reboot of the 70s action series “The Six Million Dollar Man“.
