Well, it seems that Season 2 of Poker Face on Peacock might just give her a run for her money. The intriguing mystery-of-the-week series is back starting this Thursday, May 8th.
In the official trailer for the upcoming 12 episodes, actor John Cho, one of more than three dozen notable guest stars, expresses his aspiration to puzzle our leading character for the first time. Accompanied by the tough beats of Heart’s “Barracuda,” a song that pays tribute to Charlie’s vintage car and her sharp instincts for detecting guilty criminals, the clip previews an impressive lineup of top-tier stars and the presence of a fierce alligator named Daisy. Indeed, you’ve read it correctly!
In a prior statement, Lyonne and series creator Rian Johnson (of “Knives Out” fame) described each episode as a self-contained film with its own distinct atmosphere and cast of unusual characters, played by an array of exceptional guest stars. They’re still in awe that they collaborated with talents such as Cynthia Erivo, Katie Holmes, John Mulaney, Awkwafina (alongside numerous others, the list is quite overwhelming), all of whom enthusiastically embraced their roles and arrived prepared to entertain. When does Poker Face Season 2 premiere?
In simple terms, the initial three episodes of Season 2 for the show “Poker Face” are planned to premiere on Peacock on May 8th. After that, the remaining nine episodes will be released one at a time each week until July 10th.
