At last, Warner Bros. Animation has unveiled the official trailer for “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.” Approximately two months ago, they gave fans a sneak peek at this eagerly awaited anime film that serves as a prequel to J.R.R. Tolkien’s acclaimed Lord of the Rings books.
The movie begins by featuring Éowyn (played by Miranda Otto) ominously narrating, establishing the atmosphere and storyline for the film. A Dunlending ruler named Freca forcefully enters Helm Hammerhand’s residence, proposing a marriage between his son Wulf and Hèra, the king’s daughter. However, Hammerhand saw through Freca’s deceitful intentions to seize his throne, leading to a brutal physical confrontation with the Dunlending lord. In the ensuing scuffle, Freca accidentally loses his life, causing Wulf to avenge his father by declaring war on King Hammerhan.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but express my excitement for the upcoming feature film, masterfully directed by the acclaimed Kenji Kamiyama. They have previously worked on projects like “Rick and Morty: The Anime,” “Blade Runner Black Out 2022,” and the upcoming sci-fi anime, “Lazarus,” under the visionary Shinichiro Watanabe. I simply can’t wait to see their magic unfold on the big screen!
