As a longtime fan who’s been following the Kelce brothers’ journey since their days at the University of Cincinnati, I can say that the 2024 TV schedule just got a whole lot more exciting! The duo has always been a force to reckon with in the NFL, but this season, they’ve taken their game to a new level.
Regardless of perspective, Jason and Travis Kelce have left significant impacts on the 2024 TV lineup. Their influence has been evident for some time now, given their long-standing roles as NFL stars. However, this season, they’ve expanded their horizons: Jason has taken up hosting ESPN’s NFL Countdown, and Travis continues to shine as the star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs and one of the leads in the new FX horror series Grotesquerie. Now, it’s Travis’ older brother who is praising his younger sibling’s acting skills, and watching Travis navigate through all that is the light-hearted entertainment I craved today.
On the recent episode of “New Heights”, it was evident how supportive the Kelce brothers are, particularly Jason, who showcased their bond in a clip featuring Travis in “Grotesquerie”. Although the younger brother was hesitant to watch himself, the elder one was eager, expressing his excitement by saying he couldn’t wait.
Jason: I can’t wait!
Travis: I’m just gonna watch you watch it, I don’t wanna watch it.
That right there sets the tone perfectly for this hilarious brotherly back and forth between the Kelces, check it out:

Throughout the entire “New Heights” episode, you will notice Jason and Travis discussing the video, with the tight end expressing that not only couldn’t he watch it, but he didn’t want to listen to it as well. Contrastingly, the previous center had a different reaction. As soon as the video stopped playing, Jason remarked:
Not gonna lie, you killed it right here.
That was followed by this back-and-forth:
Travis: You’re full of shit.
Jason: No, you nailed it. You look great too.
Instead, Travis swiftly shifted the discussion towards praising his co-star, Niecy Nash, by mentioning she attended the Chiefs vs. Chargers game in Los Angeles last weekend. Yet, Jason persisted with discussing his younger brother’s show and the theories he holds concerning it as the talk went on.
Travis Kelce Discusses His Significant Contract Renewal, While Jason Kelce Clarifies Speculations Regarding an ESPN Job Offer
Jason: Alright, I’m gonna need you to stop dodging. Did you boil a baby or not?
Travis:Jason, it seems unlikely that I possess the bravery or the… let’s just say, the peculiarity in me, to cook a baby.
Jason: No, you don’t, but Ed Lachlan might.
Travis: Jason, just watch the show.
Currently, Travis’ persona doesn’t involve baby-boiling, but rather, he has only been displaying affection towards Nash’s character. But given the nature of a Ryan Murphy production, it’s likely that an unexpected twist will unfold regarding Kelce in the future.
Following the back-and-forth banter, the ESPN announcer speculated about his brother’s involvement in the show. He suggested that, given Travis’ attire, it was plausible he worked at a mental health facility (which is accurate), and then he proposed an outlandish theory by suggesting Ed could be a product of Nash’s character’s imagination.
It seems this conversation is similar to other amusing instances between these siblings, such as when one Jason brought pants for the other Jason, which are frequent occurrences on New Heights. I look forward to more of the Philadelphia Eagles’ insights and Travis’ shy and elusive responses as the season progresses. It’s all pure entertainment!
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t wait to catch Travis Kelce in action on “Grotesquerie”! Tune in every Wednesday at 10 p.m. on FX, or stream the series if you have a Hulu subscription. And for those who want to keep up with his brother’s side-splitting commentary, don’t forget to listen to new episodes of “New Heights” every Wednesday, available wherever you grab your podcasts.
