In a chat with MovieWeb in February, Frank Grillo succinctly described Werewolves as a blend of “The Purge” and werewolf elements, a combination that promises to exhilarate fans of action-horror movies, hinting at the movie being an unforgettable classic in the genre.

Absolutely! I have a movie titled ‘Werewolves’ on the horizon. Director Steven C. Miller has really outdone himself with this project, taking his time to ensure it’s exceptional. A significant budget was allocated for post-production, resulting in realistic werewolf effects featuring seven-foot tall actors. It can be compared to a blend of ‘The Purge’ and werewolves, set during a supermoon event with a contagious disease. The plot details are intricate, but I suggest watching the movie to fully appreciate it. I’m genuinely thrilled about this production as it boasts stunning visuals, recently completed in Dolby Atmos sound, and is slated for a wide release in approximately 2000 or 2500 theaters. Can’t wait!

Frank Grillo has built a reputation for his impressive action film performances, notably through roles such as Beyond Skyline, Warrior, Homefront (where he squared off against Jason Statham), Wheelman, Copshop, Boss Level, and The Purge series. He’s also become a regular in the comic book movie genre, portraying Brock Rumlow/Crossbones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and more recently, Rick Flag Sr. in the DC Universe. A sixth Purge film and his role as Creature Commandos member in the DCU are now under development.

Werewolves
is due to be unleashed in the United States on December 6, 2024.
