Abhishek Bachchan, last seen in Ghoomer in 2023, has several upcoming movies such as Be Happy, Housefull 5, and an untitled project by Shoojit Sircar on the horizon. Abhishek shares a deep bond with various actors within the film industry, and Sanjay Dutt is one of them. In fact, Abhishek once shared that Sanjay Dutt often dozes off while sitting. Sanjay Dutt himself has opened up about the emotional reason behind this habit.
On the talk show Yaaron Ki Baraat, Abhishek Bachchan opened up about Sanjay Dutt, revealing that the actor doesn’t sleep horizontally but instead props up pillows behind him and dozes off in a sitting position.
When questioned about it, the 65-year-old actor shared that during his time in jail, when it rained, the cells would flood up to our thighs. As there was so much water, we had no choice but to sleep in it. That’s how we adapted, and I still sleep in that same position today.
For those not familiar, Sanjay Dutt served a five-year sentence following his arrest under TADA and the Arms Act in 1993. The charges stemmed from a violation of the Arms Act for possessing illegal weapons during the 1993 Bombay (now Mumbai) blasts. He was released from prison in 2016.
In the 2018 biographical film titled “Sanju,” directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Ranbir Kapoor portrayed the central character. The movie also featured actors such as Anushka Sharma, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, among others. This motion picture depicted the real-life story of Sanju.
Abhishek Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt have worked together on films such as LOC Kargil, Rakht, Dus, and Shoutout at Lokhandwala in the past. Now, they will appear in Tarun Mansukhani’s upcoming film, Housefull 5.
