In his “My Ex-breast” podcast, Ayushmann Khurrana shared that he and his wife were in Delhi when they received the news about Tahira Kashyap’s breast cancer diagnosis from doctors. Feeling exposed and fragile while sitting in a hospital, people would often ask for photos. Reflecting on this moment in 2019, Ayushmann Khurrana reminisced that he was hiding behind a column, with the security guard, and feeling quite distressed.
On World Health Day, April 7, 2025, the director of Sharmajee Ki Beti shared on Instagram that she has been diagnosed with cancer for a second time. In her post, she wrote: “Either it’s the seven-year itch or the importance of regular screening – I prefer to view it as the latter and encourage everyone who needs regular mammograms to do so. I’m facing round 2, but I’ve still got this!
Tahira didn’t hesitate to share that she is prepared to battle breast cancer once more. In her captions, she said, “When life serves you lemons, make lemonade. If life keeps giving you too many lemons and tosses them back at you, you calmly squeeze them into your favorite tangy drink like kala khatta and enjoy it with good intentions. First, it’s a tastier drink, and second, you know you’ll give it your all again.
