In 2016, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma shared a chat on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan talk show. During their conversation, Katrina shared an amusing tale from the set of Tees Maar Khan where she wished to bond with Akshay Kumar by tying a rakhi, but he declined her offer.
She remembered herself wearing a gold dress on the set of Tees Maar Khan where no one seemed to notice her. “Look who walks through the door! A person I hold in high esteem, someone I consider a cherished friend,” she said, “and as far as I’m concerned, there’s nothing amiss. So I asked him, ‘May I tie a rakhi on you?’ Akshay Kumar responded, ‘Katrina, are you asking for a slap?'” This is how she recounted the incident.
Feeling quite down and low-spirited, Katrina reminisced about a past incident where she went to visit a friend’s house and unexpectedly encountered Arjun Kapoor. She described him as tender and charming back then compared to his fitness level today. The actress later decided to ask him to be her rakhi brother.
However, it’s important to note that the actress made it clear that she ‘never really tied a rakhi on Arjun,’ as he fled instead. To put it another way, she explained that “he truly bolted out of the door when I say he ran away. And then, the following day, when I attempted to find him again, he once more fled,” she stated.
