Their banter during their first meeting, as recounted in their interview with ABP News, is a testament to their unique bond that transcends their professional collaborations.

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are a beloved on-screen duo in Bollywood, having starred together in numerous classic films. Their friendship extends beyond their professional partnership, being quite deep and genuine. Interestingly, during their initial encounter, SRK found Kajol’s talkative nature somewhat bothersome, while the actress initially perceived him as rather serious or grumpy.

Back in 2015, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol had a chat with ABP News. During this conversation, they reminisced about their first encounter on the set of Baazigar on New Year’s Day, January 1. When asked about typical New Year celebrations involving parties, King Khan confessed that instead of attending a party, he heads straight to the set after ringing in the New Year.

As he stated, he finds it important to start working on New Year’s Day, as it helps establish a rhythm for the entire year ahead. He emphasized that his occupation falls under the category of the working class and he is always in need of employment opportunities. When the actress shared that she abstains from alcohol, the famous star added humorously, “This doesn’t imply that I partake;” causing the actress to burst into laughter.

Kajol went on to share that she always arrives on set in the morning full of energy. In response, SRK playfully nicknamed her a “loud and vibrant peacock.” He also reminisced about their initial encounter, saying, “The rest of us were exhausted; our cameraman had been detained due to lack of permit. And Kajol was the only source of noise.

Shah Rukh jokingly suggested that the actress might consider a career in politics as a journalist or a minister due to her strong voice. In response, she disclosed that he had complained to her makeup artist, “What type of an actress is she? Can’t she tone down her volume for a while?

Meanwhile, Kajol shared with that man that Shah Rukh was acting quite grumpy. “He’s been sitting silently, engrossed in his script for two hours now, without speaking to anyone, looking quite surly on his chair,” and SRK jokingly asked if she didn’t have a ‘mute button’.
