As a seasoned Fortnite player with countless hours spent traversing the ever-evolving island, I must say that this latest weekly quest has proven to be quite the challenge! The Shipping Manifest at a Dig Site seems to have left many players scratching their heads, myself included.
In the latest weekly mission for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, players are challenged to locate a Shipping Manifest at an excavation site. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t offer many hints on how to acquire this item, leaving players on their own to figure out where to find it.
In this guide, I’ll show you how to locate every Dig Site spot on the Fortnite map and explain how to acquire a Shipping Manifest at each site.
All Dig Site locations in Chapter 5 Season 4
There are eight Dig Sites currently on the Fortnite map, each at the following locations:
- Between Mount Olympus and Grand Glacier
- East of Doomstadt
- Northeast of Grand Glacier
- Northeast of Nitrodome
- North of Underworld
- South of Grim Gate
- South of Mount Olympus
- On the island between Rebel’s Roost and Doomstadt
Each location on this map has a distinct blue marker, making it simple for you to locate them without any hassle.
Once you’ve landed at one of the Dig Sites, it’s time to start looking for a Shipping Manifest
How to get a Shipping Manifest
In simpler terms, to obtain a Shipping Manifest, you must defeat one of Dr. Doom’s minions since it is in their possession.
Search for one of the associates wearing dark green uniforms. Overpower and render unconscious one of these individuals. You’ll need to inflict damage again to ensure they are completely incapacitated. Upon doing so, they will drop any items they may be carrying, which could include their weapon, ammunition, or a Shipping Manifest.
It’s not always that the minion hands over the Shipping Manifest on the first encounter. Therefore, you might need to defeat a few of them before you manage to obtain the item you seek. In my case, it took me four attempts to successfully do so. Fortunately, once you engage one of the henchmen in combat, they all come after you, making it easier to find more if your initial try doesn’t yield success.
From what I gather, it appears that the Shipping Manifest item serves no functional purpose in the game, unlike the Medallions which grant buffs. It seems likely that this item was included primarily to advance the storyline and doesn’t serve any additional role.
If you plan on tackling this task yourself, keep in mind that several other competitors are after the same Shipping Manifest as well. Right now, the Dig Sites are active areas where battles often break out, and I had to fight three matches before I could take down a henchman without getting overrun by other players.
Instead of attempting this quest right now, consider venturing to less crowded Dig Sites located towards the map’s edges or wait until later in the game when there are fewer opponents and you have a better supply of weapons and ammunition.
