Where to Find the Resident Evil Characters in Astro Bot

As a seasoned gamer with decades of console history etched into my gaming DNA, the Resident Evil cameos hidden within Astro Bot have certainly piqued my interest! The nostalgia factor is through the roof as these iconic characters from the Resident Evil series leap out of their traditional 3D worlds and into the vibrant, 2D world of Astro Bot.

Approximately 300 secret bots can be found in Astro Bot, with about 173 being cameo appearances. The majority of these characters have made their initial appearance in renowned PlayStation games throughout the console’s extensive history. Typically, the game includes franchises that are confined to a single stage or level.

Instead of being grouped together, the characters from Resident Evil can be found scattered throughout various game levels, including secret ones. Our walkthrough will list the names of every cameo character in Resident Evil, as well as the specific stages or locations where you’ll find them.

Leon Kennedy (Rookie Cop)

As a devoted fan, I found myself embarking on a hidden stage within Astro Bot’s universe, dubbed the Lost Triangle Void. The objective of this secret level was to locate both Leon and Claire. Completing this void stage holds no collectibles, making it perfect for players who have already finished the main story without fear of missing out on anything. To my delight, successfully navigating this short level in the void would unlock an additional four mysterious Triangle levels within the Nebula. Once these hidden levels were under my belt, they magically appeared on the game map, ready to be explored!

Collide with an asteroid floating in the upper-left corner of the Tentacle Nebula system to cause blooming flowers to appear. Rush towards them to generate a swirl of stardust. Move through the center to encounter a satellite robot, then slam into it to disclose the Lost Triangle Void. Once you’ve completed this stage, additional levels featuring characters like Leon and Claire will become accessible.

To get to Leon, you must pass through Cut ‘N Grind, which initially seems to have Leon in view, but as soon as you attempt to reach him, he’s swiftly whisked away. This level presents a tough test of your reflexes as you dodge buzzsaws on platforms and hop onto moving rails while avoiding mines. Successfully completing it will grant you the ability to save Leon.

Claire Redfield (Motorcycle Enthusiast)

In Pumpkin Peril, I’m right there at the beginning as usual, but this time things are a bit different. The level starts off like previous stages, but then I get transported to the end. That means it’s time for another platforming test, though most of the platforms seem pretty solid. The tough part? Dodging enemy fire while leaping and maneuvering across some extended, spinning platforms. If you can navigate through that gauntlet, you should be able to reach me!

Chris Redfield (Alpha Male)

In the Spooky Time stage within the Camo Cosmos nebula, you’ll encounter both Chris and Jill. Since their level plays a significant role in the main narrative of Astro Bot, they are not difficult to locate. As soon as you cross the initial gate, prepare for an intense bridge where ghosts hurl knives rapidly.

To progress, you’ll find it essential to employ Time Stop to temporarily halt time flow. During this pause, you may encounter adversaries among the tombstones that must be vanquished. Post-confrontation, direct your path towards the candle-lit wooden pier on the left side. Extinguish the candles by mimicking a breath into the DualSense controller, and then advance to the platform where Chris is waiting.

Jill Valentine (Alpha Female)

Proceed forward on the level until you encounter an area with a moving brick wall. In this part, you’ll find hidden platforms that can only be seen once illuminated. To the right, there’s a solitary platform hidden among tombstones. Pick up a light source from the ground and navigate through the platforms as they become visible.

Following the turn to the right, make another right turn. You’ll come across a path leading to a platform with a tombstone, as well as a portal. Leap into the portal and maneuver through a series of platforms in a dark area. Pay close attention to coordinating Time Stop with the flashes of light to illuminate the platforms and make them move slowly. Jill will be accessible after crossing over those two gaps.
