Where Would Full House's Characters Be Today? I’m Loving Candace Cameron Bure, Dave Coulier And Andrea Barber’s Predictions

As someone who grew up with the Tanner family and has fond memories of their antics, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia when hearing about where our beloved characters might be now. The idea of Kimmy Gibbler as an empty-nester, knitting away with her cats and ostriches, is both amusing and endearing. And let’s not forget the potential chaos that an ostrich or two could bring to her household!

Four years have passed since “Fuller House” concluded, and close to 30 years since “Full House” came to an end, yet these classic shows continue to captivate audiences today, largely due to streaming services. There’s been talk about a potential new series in the cherished franchise, and even Jodie Sweetin has expressed interest in creating a spin-off similar to “The Golden Girls”. At the moment, Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, and Dave Coulier are expressing their thoughts on where their characters might find themselves now, and I’m thoroughly enjoying their predictions.

Fans got a glimpse into the future lives of their beloved Full House characters through the Netflix revival series, Fuller House. This show offered significant developments for characters such as D.J., Stephanie, and Kimmy, among others. It’s only natural that fans might have questions about where these characters stand now. At the ’90s Con in Florida, Andrea Barber shared with People that character Kimmy would be an empty-nester since her daughter Ramona is away at college. Additionally, Barber suggested that Kimmy would likely be spending much of her time knitting and hanging out with cats.

Dave Coulier noted that Kimmy’s nest wouldn’t be completely devoid of life, humorously suggesting she’d “be sitting on a mountain of ostrich eggs” due to her pet ostrich. Translation: She’ll have cats and maybe even an ostrich or two. Frankly, I’d love a spinoff focusing exclusively on the Gibbler-Hernandez-Guerrero-Fernandez-Guerrero clan, considering its untapped potential for chaos.

Speaking of D.J., it’s been confirmed that she has tied the knot with Steve after a long wait. Candace Cameron Bure, their close friend, revealed they are still deeply in love and living their best lives together. She also mentioned that her phone must be ringing off the hook due to calls from her buddy about all those pets she’s taking care of. In her own words:

I think that D.J. and Steve are together, raising her kids and just living their best karaoke life.

I’m thrilled beyond words as a longtime admirer of Steve and D.J., knowing that Candace Cameron Bure feels they are still together, nurturing Jackson, Max, and Tommy. It’s not shocking either, given that Bure often shares about this beloved duo on social media, even though some fans speculate that D.J. might have ended up with Matt instead.

Meanwhile, Dave Coulier believes Joey Gladstone would be living a bit of a different life compared to what fans saw on Fuller House. I’m not so sure fans would’ve expected the comedian to deliver the following response:

[Joey would be] living in a van at Venice Beach, with a woodchuck puppet.

Given that Joey, in the series “Fuller House”, was married with kids and residing in Las Vegas during the events portrayed, it seems unusual for him to be living in a van, especially since his family is involved. However, if something unexpected happened with his family or if Mr. Woodchuck’s storyline continued, this could make sense. Regardless, such an unconventional setup would make for a fascinating sitcom, and I find the idea of a Venice Beach-based show intriguing. Coulier’s additional insights on the concept have definitely piqued my interest.

The van’s side rises, revealing a hot dog stand. Quite busy indeed, this Joey’s Hot Dogs. Time for a change, I thought, and here I am, taking the plunge – independence at last.

I’m still convinced that there are more tales to spin within the realm of “Full House” and I’d be thrilled if another series could come into being. Although it would be disheartening not to have franchise veteran Bob Saget, who tragically passed away in 2022, I trust that the cast and crew would pay a suitable tribute to Danny Tanner. For now, the speculations of Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, and Dave Coulier are merely hypotheses. Here’s hoping we see a new show someday where these possibilities could unfold.

At the moment, individuals with a Max subscription have the ability to view “Full House,” whereas “Fuller House” is available for streaming on Netflix.
