‘White Lotus’ Cast Says These Characters Could Return for Season 4

Season three may have ended in excessive bloodshed, but The White Lotus will continue.

As I eagerly await this Sunday’s season-ending blockbuster, I can’t help but wonder who among our beloved cast might make a comeback. It’s no secret that Jon Gries, the man behind both Greg and Gary, has graced us with his presence twice before. Guess who fans seem to think will be back again? You got it – Jon Gries!

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but notice that Jon seems to be the ever-present barnacle on the ship of ‘The White Lotus’, as aptly pointed out by Natasha Rothwell (Belinda). Walton Goggins (Rick) also agrees, suggesting that Jon might just appear in every season. He quickens to clarify that he’s not privy to any insider information, though.

Regarding Gries, he’s unsure if the character will make a comeback, much like how he was clueless about reappearing in either season two or three. To begin with, the character Gary/Greg was initially planned to meet his end in the first season. As the actor puts it, “It’s impossible to foresee what Mike White will do next.” He adds, “I would be thrilled to return, but it seems like Greg’s story might have reached its conclusion. I can’t give you a definitive answer on that front.

It appears that many believe Belinda Rothwell, who received $5 million from Gries’ character in the finale in exchange for her silence, still has a significant role to play. Carrie Coon (Leslie) suggests that the odds are in her favor, and Tayme Thapthimthong (Gaitok) agrees, stating that Belinda and her son could be setting off on an adventure into the sunset, or perhaps using the money to begin a new endeavor altogether.

To clarify, Rothwell has expressed her willingness to return for another season, which would mark her third: “It feels like Belinda encompasses everyone, and everyone embodies Belinda,” she expresses, “so perhaps, in a way, they want to be involved with it through me.

Aimee Lou Wood, who saw her character Chelsea meet her end in episode eight, proposes that Leslie Bibb’s character, Kate, might make a suitable comeback. According to the actress, “I think she could reappear on another girls’ trip, but this time with a new group of women. And within that group could potentially be Meghann [Fahy’s character], Daphne from season two. That would be interesting.

Goggins expresses his wish for Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan’s character) to appear again in another setting. He believes Parker would fit perfectly in this new world, once she has truly parted ways with Jason Isaacs. He isn’t sure if she can adapt to their current situation.

As Timothy Ratliff, whose actions nearly cost me everything dear in the season finale, I’m not too optimistic about my future with this franchise. “I’m headed for jail,” I mutter. “I won’t have the funds for a stay at The White Lotus. I’d be fortunate just to tend the gardens.

In simpler terms, Patrick Schwarzenegger, who acts as the oldest son in the series, believes that the entire Ratliff family may not return, but there are whispers of a special season featuring big names. He jokingly suggests that if they were to do an all-star season, it might group together the most unsavory characters or hotel managers. Creator Mike White has mentioned this idea in a casual conversation. For clarity, White himself told THR that he would “love” to create such an all-star season.

White remarks that if this continues to be well-received by both the public and HBO, it would indeed be exciting, but he cautions it could be quite challenging from a scheduling perspective. He explains that as many of these actors rise to stardom, they become increasingly difficult to secure for future projects. However, he expresses hope that they’d be willing to return.
