The Ratliff family secrets are starting to unravel.
In a recent interview with TV Insider on Tuesday, actors Sam Nivola (Lochlan Ratliff) and Sarah Catherine Hook (Piper Ratliff) from HBO’s The White Lotus admitted that last week’s full-frontal scene was not real.
In Jason Isaacs’ role, Timothy Ratliff, was conversing with his family while clad in a robe. As he reclined, an unexpected reveal occurred – his full frontal view was exposed. Nivola commented, “That wasn’t his actual penis,” to which Hook quickly stepped back, clarifying, “It was a prop.
Hook remembered shooting the scene as quite amusing. The actor was clearly enthusiastic about it. I believe he felt a sense of accomplishment regarding the prosthetic. He delivered a solid punch, if I may say so.
Nivola added, “He’s like, ‘It’s my fake dick scene today!’”
Isaac recently discussed with Decider about the possibility of incorporating a significant scene in “White Lotus”, as suggested by its creator Mike White. Speaking on the matter, Isaac commented: “Well, he’s aiming to counterbalance all the naked women I’ve been exposed to throughout my life on every TV show and movie. Nudity is his tool of choice. He employs it at times for humor, sometimes for sex, other times for manipulation. It’s a striking television moment.
In the third season of “The White Lotus,” the character played by Patrick Schwarzenegger, who is the eldest Ratliff sibling named Saxon, briefly appears in a nude scene involving his frontal body. Previous seasons have also featured nudity, with Steve Zahn and Theo James appearing in naked scenes during their respective runs.
