Who is Bhumi Rajgor? Actress who replaced Flora Saini in Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2

As a dedicated fan and follower of the Indian film industry, I have been thoroughly captivated by the journey of Bhumi Rajgor, the enigmatic actress who breathed life into the character of Stree in the sequel to the hit franchise. From her humble beginnings as a makeup artist in the Gujarati art space to her recent success with Stree 2, Bhumi’s story is one that resonates with me deeply.

The popular Stree series provided a boost to both established and new actors. Now that it’s clear Shraddha Kapoor is not Stree, let’s discuss the actress taking on this pivotal role in the latest sequel. For the record, Flora Saini portrayed Stree in the initial installment, but Bhumi Rajgor assumes the role in Stree 2

As an ardent admirer, I’ve always been captivated by the Gujarati art world, and my journey began as a makeup artist. Taking a bold step, I delved into acting with productions like Fakt Mahilao Maate, Satyaprem Ki Katha, and Hurry Om Hurry under my belt. In an exclusive interview with Times of India, Bhumi Rajgor confessed that her inbox has been overflowing with offers following the triumph of Stree 2. These include Punjabi movies and a highly-anticipated reality show

Rajgor shared that she’s currently feeling swamped, yet she’s not interested in participating in a reality show at this moment. Instead, she expressed eagerness towards working on films across various languages, as regional movies are generating exceptional content lately. Interestingly, she originally auditioned for a distinct role in a movie, but her tryout was redirected to Stree instead

In response to being given the leading role, Bhumi remembered saying, “Indeed, they asked me to shout as loud as I could. It was the most amusing audition I’ve ever had!” Rajgor shared that at first, the producers merely mentioned she wouldn’t be seen because her character was a ghost, which made Bhumi’s family feel a slight unease from her family about it

Bhumi expressed that she seized the chance to collaborate with exceptional and down-to-earth co-stars without hesitation. She further mentioned, “I gained a lot by observing them, and Shraddha (Kapoor) was incredibly kind to me. My only regret is not sharing any scenes with Pankaj (Tripathi) sir.”

Rajgor intends to relocate to Mumbai shortly and is keen on expanding her work within the Gujarati film industry, as she wishes to remain grounded towards the place where her journey began. Would you like to see more films of “Stree” in various languages? Share your thoughts @pinkvilla
