Sonali Singh obtained her education at New Delhi’s New Lancers convent. Afterward, she earned an aviation and hospitality management diploma from Delhi’s Rai Foundation and a degree in commerce from CCS University. As of July 2007, she has been working as a business development manager at the Asian Business School for approximately four years.

Later, she moved to firms such as Super Cassette Industries Limited and Eros International Private Limited. Yet, her life underwent a remarkable change in January 2016 when Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh recognized her talents and offered her the position of his manager. At that time, she was involved in a collaborative album titled Bhangra Paa Mittra, which caught Diljit’s attention. In numerous interviews, Diljit Dosanjh has acknowledged her role in his rise to success.

Simultaneously, according to a report in The Indian Express, Sonali Singh, despite having limited knowledge about Punjabi music and language, took on the role as Diljit Dosanjh’s brand manager. Notably, she was also featured on the 2024 Billboard Women of the Year list. In an interview with Billboard, she expressed her gratitude towards Diljit for placing his trust in her and acknowledged him for helping her earn this accolade.

Sonali stated, “None of this success would have been achievable without my extraordinary friend and human, Diljit Dosanjh. It’s only due to the opportunity to collaborate with a globally acclaimed artist of the past decade that I could become a manager on a global scale. Previously, according to the Indian Express, Sonali Singh revealed that Diljit Dosanjh has been her friend for 14 years and she’s worked with him for 8 years. She reminisced about her challenging past, mentioning that due to her father being a businessman, there were times when they had an abundance of resources, but on other occasions, they made do with just one room.

On Instagram, Sonali Singh penned an emotional post, recounting a moving tale about her mother’s unwavering resolve when their father suffered significant financial setbacks, contemplating withdrawing them from education. Born and raised on a farm, her mother had no formal education, but she established a small dairy business in the city, cultivated crops on vacant lots to sustain the family, and tirelessly persevered so that both her daughters could continue their studies.

Currently, one serves as an aeronautical engineer within the Indian Air Force, while another nurtures India’s leading talents on a global scale. This remarkable achievement is largely attributed to their mother’s unwavering strength and selfless sacrifices.
