Who Is Perrikaryal? Twitch Streamer Defeats Elden Ring Nightreign Boss With “Mind Control”

Perrikaryal, a widely recognized Twitch broadcaster, gained fame for her distinctive gaming approach that incorporates the concept of mental manipulation.

As a devoted fan and follower of Perrikaryal’s thrilling Twitch streams, I can’t help but share my excitement over her latest achievement! Just yesterday, she triumphantly conquered a boss in the Nightreign network test for Elden Ring, FromSoftware’s highly anticipated cooperative spinoff game. What makes this victory even more extraordinary is that Perrikaryal had hinted at something truly groundbreaking about the game – its characters are controlled based on brain activity tracking! With a dedicated fanbase of 60K strong, I can’t wait to see what other secrets Elden Ring holds in store for us.

As a gamer, I’ve got these electrodes attached to my skull, turning it into a high-tech gaming setup. My brain’s activity shifts dramatically when I visualize certain things, take actions, or feel emotions. This unique trait of mine is being used to customize and link in-game actions, making for an immersive and personalized gaming experience.

The streamer wrote on X and shared her experience:

I had the opportunity to play Elden Ring under Mind Control conditions, and it was an exhilarating, challenging experience. The game never lets you rest, and I can’t wait for the official release!

Perrikaryal Shares Her Experience With Mind-Controlled Gaming

Despite not being scheduled for release until May 2025, Elden Ring Nightreign has recently been undergoing network testing. This testing aims to assess the game’s online capabilities and performance, and a select group of players have been given access to certain parts of the game to help with this process.

Furthermore, Perrikaryal explains the link between certain buttons in the game and her distinctive brain functions. This enables her to manage specific actions within the game. In another post on X, she showed that visualizing herself moving objects forward, spinning a plate, picturing a cricket, and pulsing her ears changes her brain activity as detected by an EEG machine.

As an avid gamer, I too began imagining additional actions that could be tied to in-game commands. For instance, I visualized pushing boulders, watching a grasshopper leap, and expressing anger. After experimenting with Super Smash Bros using mind control, I jotted down my ideas on X.

This is a first for me – playing an entire game using only mind control, with no additional technology like eye-tracking or gyro for movement in Super Smash Bros. It’s absolutely mind-blowing; I never imagined we would reach this point. A big thank you for your continuous support!

For the first time, I’m attempting an entire game using just mind control – that’s right, no joysticks or any other peripherals! It’s like playing Super Smash Bros without any additional tech like eye-tracking or gyroscopic movement. This is truly mind-boggling; I never imagined we’d reach this point. Thanks for all the encouragement along the way!
