As a long-time Marvel fan and avid gamer, I can hardly contain my excitement as I watch Robert Downey Jr. take the stage at San Diego Comic-Con, the air thick with anticipation. The Russo Brothers stand beside him, their faces giving nothing away, but I sense that something monumental is about to be revealed.


At San Diego Comic-Con, when Marvel Studios takes control of Hall H, get ready for a major revelation. Indeed, they delivered: Robert Downey Jr. and the Russo Brothers made an appearance to share that Downey would rejoin the MCU, though not as Tony Stark we know. Instead, this is the era of the Multiverse Saga.

In the upcoming sequels to “Avengers,” titled “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars,” Robert Downey Jr. is set to rejoin the cast, portraying the formidable character of Doctor Doom. Here’s Downey making an appearance on stage for you.
