Why Tom Holland Got Rejected Trying to Buy His Own Non-Alcoholic Beer Brand

It’s typically third times a charm, but not necessarily for Tom Holland.

The actor lately shared on social media about his quest to find his personal brand of non-alcoholic beer, Bero, in a Target store. Unfortunately, he was denied the purchase because of his U.K. identification.

Holland mentioned in a video that he hasn’t been in the U.S. for some time now. He plans to explore some Beros, which he described as items on store shelves, out in the open or ‘in the wild.'”

Or, more casually:

“In a recent video, Holland admitted he hasn’t been in America for a while. He’s going to check out some goods he calls Bero, found out there among the wild.

Following unsuccessful searches at the first and second Target stores for Bero, the Spider-Man actor finally located his non-alcoholic beer brand in the third shop. “I actually stumbled upon it without realizing,” an elated Holland said to the camera. “I found it!”

Or:

After visiting two separate Target stores unsuccessfully in search of Bero, the Spider-Man actor eventually discovered his non-alcoholic beer brand at the third location. “I accidentally passed by it without noticing,” a joyful Holland told the camera. “I found it!

In the following clip, he admitted that purchasing the non-alcoholic beer would turn out to be another hurdle. “Great! I found some!” exclaimed the actor from The Crowded Room as he strolled through the parking lot. “I bought it… the cashier refused my ID because it’s in English and I couldn’t verify my age, so a very kind employee, I suppose, scanned their own ID.

It’s somewhat amusing, isn’t it, that I was barred from purchasing the very item I create. However, I’m quite thrilled about it all. This is exhilarating, indeed.

As a fervent admirer, I can share that, much like me, Holland has openly discussed his journey towards sobriety. In 2023, on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, he revealed that his inspiration for creating Bero stemmed from his decision to quit drinking. Initially, he attempted Dry January in the previous year, but found himself often pondering over a drink. Consequently, he chose to abstain from alcohol for six months. Once he confirmed his ability to maintain sobriety, he confessed that he had never felt happier in his life.

Holland shared that he could have slept more soundly and managed difficulties more effectively during that period. He noted that troubles on set which usually upset him didn’t phase him anymore. He experienced significantly improved mental acuity, felt healthier and fitter, and began to question his dependence on alcohol and the compulsion to consume it.
