Director Jon M. Chu shares with NBC Insider that fans have a keen eye for detail in the movie, and they appreciate it even more upon repeat viewings with friends and family. He notes that the home video release offers an opportunity to share deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes insights, and extended versions of familiar scenes; essentially giving viewers two movies. Additionally, the Sing-Along version will be included, as well as commentary from both the director and the girls involved in the movie for each scene, making it a unique and enjoyable experience.

When you buy the movie from participating online stores like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Comcast Xfinity, Cox, and Microsoft Movies & TV, not only do you get the film but also a wealth of additional content. This includes deleted scenes, an extended 40-minute exploration of Oz showcasing the magic of Wicked on screen, and even a Sing-Along version of the movie! Chu mentions that the lyrics will be provided beneath the video for a sing-along experience, which will be available in cinemas on Christmas Day, December 25th. He also notes that this feature will be included in the home video version, allowing families to have their very own at-home sing-along sessions with loved ones such as kids, grandparents, and so forth.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has confirmed that the movie ‘Wicked’ will be released for viewing in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats starting from February 4, 2025.

Absolutely, we haven’t witnessed the entire tale just yet, since Wicked solely encompasses the initial part of the Broadway musical.
