Wild Venom 3 Theory Would Bring The Symbiote To The MCU, And I Don’t Hate It

As a seasoned gamer and comic book enthusiast with a lifetime of experience immersing myself in the Marvel universe, I can confidently say that the theory about U.S. Agent becoming Agent Venom is an intriguing twist to the narrative.

In the bonus scene after Venom: Let There Be Carnage, there was a hint that Venom and Spider-Man might meet for the first time. However, this potential encounter was seemingly canceled out by the post-credits sequence of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The notion of Venom joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from Sony’s Spider-Verse has long been desired by fans, and an intriguing theory proposes that this could occur in a manner never before seen in comic books.

Indications strongly suggest that Tom Hardy’s portrayal of Venom in the upcoming movie “Venom: The Last Dance” may mark his final performance as this character. Yet, it appears doubtful that Venom will disappear from the cinematic landscape entirely. Given the character’s popularity, it seems inevitable that there will be further exploration with this iconic figure. This speculation has sparked an intriguing fan theory (as reported by ScreenRant), which, if validated, could prove quite engaging.

Venom Technically Exists In The MCU Already

In a humorous twist, the extra scenes after the credits of the last Venom and Spider-Man films served as jokes. The initial one revealed Eddie Brock and Venom entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe without any clear explanation. The second scene showed Brock returning to his own universe, still puzzled about why he was there and never having located Spider-Man.

Although Eddie Brock’s tenure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was short-lived, it could prove crucial as we discover that a trace of the Venom symbiote remains in Spider-Man’s realm. This seemingly casual inclusion may serve as a potential stepping stone for Venom’s future involvement in the main MCU narrative. Even if Eddie Brock and Venom don’t make it through their upcoming story, “Venom: The Last Dance,” a fragment of the symbiote persists.

Could U.S. Agent Become Agent Venom?

In Marvel Comics, Venom has formed bonds with various humans over time, but Agent Venom stands out as one of the most well-liked iterations, originating when Venom merged with former soldier Flash Thompson. Although Flash is present in the MCU, portrayed by actor Tony Revolori, he doesn’t seem to fit the mold for a military career and combat. However, another character who does fits this description is introduced in the storyline.

The theory proposes that John Walker, who assumes the role of government-approved Captain America in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” series and is slated to appear in the Marvel film “Thunderbolts” as U.S. Agent, shares a backstory similar to a disenchanted ex-soldier. This could potentially set him up as the host for the MCU’s Agent Venom.

While it’s an intriguing proposition, it should be noted that there’s no concrete proof this is the intended course of action within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, if it were to transpire, it wouldn’t be the most ill-advised decision. It could potentially keep Venom in the MCU, offering a fresh take on what fans have previously experienced.
